Climate

Brittany enjoys a warm, temperate climate, with seas warmed by the Gulf Stream. Summers can get hot – up to about 30 degrees Celcius, but remain comfortable compared to France south of the Loire. Winters are generally mild with little frost or snow. Generally, the climate is a little warmer than Southern Britain, with up to 8 hours of sunshine a day.

The climate makes Brittany ideal for family holidays, and activity holidays such as sailing, windsurfing, golf, fishing, cycling and walking.
